Jennifer Lombardi, CEDS, MFT CDW™F, currently serves as a Behavioral Health Manager for Kaiser, and provides trainings and specialized treatment services for individual struggling with eating and mood disorders in Elk Grove, California. In addition to her clinical work, Jen has also served as former Executive Director and a National Recovery Advocate for Eating Recovery Center.
n 2015, Jen became a Certified Daring Way Facilitator, and trained in the experiential work developed by author and research professor, Dr. Brenè Brown. As Jen would tell you, the training "fundamentally changed how I work with clients, how I connect in relationships, and how I communicate with my family." She uses the Daring Way™ method, a highly experiential methodology, to work with individuals struggling with shame, vulnerability and self-compassion, particularly individuals struggling with eating and mood disorders. Over the past four years, Jen has traveled throughout the United States, providing workshops, webinars and FaceBook Live events using the Daring Way™ and Rising Strong™ curriculum.
Jen has extensive training in the field of eating disorders, including completing her certification in Family Based Treatment (FBT). She is also a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
In addition to her work in the field of eating disorders, she has worked with at-risk youth, provided court-mandated counseling for families, conducted forensic assessments, and completed training programs in CBT, DBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She enjoys working with individuals with trauma, anxiety and depression, as well as complex family issues.
Jen attended California State University, Sacramento, where she received her undergraduate degree in Government/Journalism and her Master’s in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 24 years, their two teenagers, three cats and two dogs.
Kolleen Harrison will be joining the Soul Chicks' Sisterhood for our Fly Free Retreat Spring of 2019. We fell in love with Kolleen when we met her at the Brave Girls Symposium, summer of 2018- when she shared her story of overcoming & her gift of yoga for EVERY body poolside in Idaho.
We know you will fall in love with Kolleen and her beautiful heart too.
Kolleen is a Certified Yoga Instructor, Inquiry/Spiritual Coach & Soul Restoration Teacher. Her most recent endeavors are receiving a Certification in Trauma Informed Yoga together with a Certification for completion of the program "Yoga.Psyche.Soul" which integrates yoga and psychology.
Kolleen is extremely passionate about the mind-body connection and the way in which yoga can heal and transform us through breath, stillness, sacred movement and the spirtual essence held within the practice.
Kolleen's style of teaching is for EVERYONE, and EVERY body- with her class focus being one of reconnecting to our bodies, healing our hearts and awakening our souls through conscious breathing and mindful movement.
Her work provides tool for self exploration, discovery and acceptance, a more grounded and centered way of being, and a resurgence for life.
